I was working on the final piece of papercraft armor for the Half-Life HEV Suit I started in April last year, when I discovered that someone had beat me to it! So I am posting their HEV Suit chest armor instead of my own. This papercraft was unfolded by my DeviantART papercrafter friend, Brandon. I may go ahead and release my own version too, if the mood strikes me, but for now you can consider this the final release of the HEV Suit papercraft series. The PDF template may be downloaded here.
UPDATE 10/5/12: A unlocked PDO of the chest armor is now available... here.
actually there is a cod piece that you havent made
ReplyDeleteYes, I know. The torso armor I was working on would have included chest armor, stomach armor, and the cod piece. Brandon's version included only the chest armor. Unfortunately, I doubt I will ever finish the version I started. There are too many other, more interesting projects vying for my attention. :)
ReplyDeleteThe site you have uploaded to wants me to make an account, Do I have to?
ReplyDeleteNo, you do not need to make an account to download the template.
DeleteHey mate the download is not working can you email me the file because i need to make this suit by the 28th
ReplyDeleteThe link has been updated. Try again.
ReplyDeleteWords can't describe the amount of awesome you are right now thanks so much !!!!!!
DeleteLOL you are welcome. :)
DeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for share your work! :D
This Chest is scale 1:1 right?
I did not create this one myself, but it is supposed to be 1:1.
DeleteIt is a tad small. I printed it on 8.5"x11" and it is tiny! What should I do to enlarge it to fit me? I'm 6' tall and I need to finish this the weekend before halloween.
DeleteDownload the unlocked PDO file (link in post above) and scale up the template using Pepakura Designer.
DeleteYour PDF files have a password restriction. i would like to be able to remove the texture and only have the cut out lines. could you relase the password or make a new set of the HEV suit parts without the textures and only the cut/fold lines?
ReplyDeleteI have made an unlocked PDO of the chest armor available which may be scaled and the texture removed. See the link in the post above.
DeleteI would have gone with a crowbar or grav. gun instead of the 9 mm. my self
ReplyDeleteOn what size paper should this be printed so it fits a normal sized man?
ReplyDeleteSee previous comments... The original template is apparently somewhat smaller than 1:1 scale. You can't get it to 1:1 scale by printing on larger paper. You need to increase the scale of template in Pepakura Designer and then split the template up into smaller pieces so it fits on either A4 or Letter size paper. Sorry I can't give you a easier solution. I am not the creator of this papercraft.
