Minecraft Papercraft: Enchanting Table

I don't know much about Minecraft, but I do like small papercraft books, so this project caught my eye. ;) In the Minecraft video game, an enchanting table may be used to apply enchantments (magical upgrades) to tools, armor, and books. After items have been enchanted, they take on a special visual "glint." This papercraft enchanting table was created by a Korean designer. The download link for the model is available on his blog which is called, Man Who Makes Paper Models. If you don't know Korean, then translate the blog page to English and follow the instructions there carefully about how to get the PDF template. There is a password involved!

Canon Halloween Candy Shop Diorama

Canon Creative Park always has the highest quality holiday papercraft. One of my favs for Halloween is their "Halloween Market" paper diorama. It depicts a Halloween candy store in the shape of a lantern. The best part of this papercraft are all the small objects that come with the candy store: pumpkins, a broom stick, candy, and a table and chairs. My person favorite are the tiny books. This printable may be downloaded for free in the Miniature World section of Canon Creative Park.

Mini Harry Potter Paper Toy

In 2011, I posted about Gus Santome's Harry Potter paper toys. Now in 2020, Gus has finally released another character in the series. This one happens to be Harry himself! What took you so long, buddy? ;) Like all of Gus' paper toy characters, Harry is double sided. One side has a smiling face, the other a face with a startled look. As a bonus, Gus has included tiny paper models of all seven of the Harry Potter books. The finished books are about 1" (2.5 cm) tall. A printable PDF template for this toy may be downloaded here.

Beetlejuice Book Paper Toy

Here is the third entry in my ongoing series of paper toy books. This papercraft is of the handbook from the movie, Beetlejuice. In the film, the book is given to a recently deceased couple to help them adjust to having become ghosts forced to haunt their former residence. The printable PDF template for this paper toy may be downloaded here. When the finished toy is opened, inside will be visible an advertising flyer for the "bio-exorcist" Beetlejuice along with the title page of the book. Adventure Time Enchiridion Paper Toy

Back in 2015 I released a Kingdom Hearts Winnie the Pooh book paper toy with the intent of producing a series of paper toy books. Here finally, is the second book in the series: the Enchiridion from the Adventure Time animated television show! This is my release of original papercraft for the month of December as promised in November. The papercraft template for the book may be downloaded here. Inside the book is a map of the Land of Ooo where the Adventure Time stories take place. The Enchiridion is a powerful ancient magical tome found by Finn the Human on one of his adventures.

Kingdom Hearts Pooh Book Paper Toy

I have been toying with the idea of producing a series of book paper toys. This Kingdom Hearts Winnie the Pooh book is my first experiment.  The idea for the toys is that each would be built from a single piece and when finished would be hinged so that one can open the book and see something inside. This Pooh book paper toy is based on a book that appears in the Kingdom Hearts I video game. Inside is a map of the 100 Acre Wood where Pooh and his friends live. The finished toy stands 2.5" (6.4 cm) tall. If response to this book is good I will produce others. Future possibilities include: the Enchiridion from Adventure Time, the Book of Omens from ThunderCats, as well as books from various video games. Lovecraft Papercraft

Here are three papertoys from the realm of Lovecraftian horror literature. Writer H. P. Lovecraft and his circle of authors created a shared fictional universe. In this universe there are various arcane books of forbidden lore which reveal secrets about ancient monstrous entities. The black book is a papertoy of Unaussprechlichen Kulten, a book first appearing in the works of Robert E. Howard. The yellow papertoy book is De Vermis Mysteriis first seen in the works of Robert Bloch. On top of the books is a papertoy of Cthulhu, one of the ancient entities often mentioned in Lovecraftian literature. Each of these toys was created by Jerom, France, 2007 and can be found here, here, and here.
