Origami Marvel Wolverine Claws

I thought these origami versions of Wolverine's adamantium blades were fun. If you bend your fingers and hold your hand just right, you can make it appear as if the claws are coming out of the back of your hand, just like Wolvey. This origami was created by TLT Lab. Their video with detailed folding instructions is located here. Wolverine first appeared in Marvel Comics way back in 1974!

X-Men Sentinel Head Papercraft

In the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game, one of the bosses Wolverine must face is a gigantic Sentinel robot. This papercraft Sentinel head is based on a 3D model from the game. X-Men Blackbird Jet Paper Model

In the Marvel Comics universe, the X-Men use a jet that is a modified version of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. The X-Men's Blackbird was upgraded by the tech savvy mutant, Forge, to include, among other things, a cloaking device. This paper model of the X-jet was created by Claudio Dias and may be downloaded here.

X-Men Papercraft: Apocalypse

As Apocalypse is one of my favorite X-Men characters, I am excited he will be the "bad guy" in the next X-Men movie. This papercraft Apocalypse by Mariano DG is based on a 3D model from a video game. The finished model stands 16" (41 cm) tall. The Pepakura PDO and PDF templates for the model may be downloaded here. X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release in May 2016.

X-Men New Mutants Papercraft

In the early 80's, Marvel Comics introduced a group of teenage mutant superheros (and no they weren't turtles). ^^ The group was given its own comic series: The New Mutants. Designer Xavier Gale-Sides has created papercraft versions of each of the New Mutants characters. From left to right there is Karma, Cannonball, Moonstar, Sunspot and Magik. Templates for each of the paper toys may be downloaded here. Volume 1 of New Mutants was published from 1983 to 1991.

Marvel Comics Paper Toys: Female Superheroes

Black Star Toy has a paper toy assortment of some of my favorite female characters from Marvel Comics. From left to right are Mystique. Psylocke, and the Scarlet Witch. Each of the characters has played a significant role in the X-Men titles, with the Scarlet Witch being a member of the Avengers as well. Black Star Toy also features paper toys of celebrities done in a similar style.

X-Men Papercraft: Cyclops' Visor

Cyclops has always been one of my favorite X-Men characters. This full scale papercraft of Cyclops' visor is the style of ruby quartz eyewear the character sported in the 90's. That was when comic book artist Jim Lee was drawing the X-Men titles for Marvel. The template for the visor is by Dancin' Fool and comes in Pepakura PDO format only. Also, unlike the picture above, the template is uncolored and requires either changing the texture of the PDO, printing on color paper, or painting after completion if you want the finished product to have color. Uncanny X-Men Paper Toys

Paper toy designer Luis Renato Kriegel has created a super cool set of X-Men paper toys based Brian Castleforte's Headkase paper toy template. Pictured above (left to right) are paper toys of Cyclops, Emma Frost (White Queen), Beast, Wolverine, Colossus, Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) and the alien dragon, Lockheed. Printable templates of each character are available in the "Free Papertoys" section of Kriegel's website. Scroll through the images to get to the goods.

Marvel Comics Papercraft: X-Men

I stumbled onto a fledgling papercraft blog called My Paper Heroes (run by UK papercrafter Xavier Leo Gale-Sides) and I was delighted to find numerous X-Men papercraft. Pictured above are Rogue, Emma Frost, Psylocke, Professor Xavier, Beast, and Havok. Other X-Men characters available for download include Angel, Cyclops, Colossus, Archangel, Wolverine, Iceman, Cannonball, and Jamie Madrox. And as if that wasn't enough, there are also models of the Incredible Hulk and the Silver Surfer. Look for more Marvel Comics papercraft in the future from Gale-Sides.

Marvel Papercraft - Blink's Quiver

I have been a fan of the Marvel Comics superhero Blink since she first appeared in X-Men Alpha in 1995. Blink has the ability to create teleportation portals. She can also channel her teleportation energy into small javelins which when thrown at a target cause the target to be teleported to another location. A supply of javelins is usually carried in a quiver on her back. This papercraft is my vision of Blink's quiver. Typically the javelins in her quiver are grey, but I chose to make the javelins in this model the more recognizable brilliant pink color the javelins take on when they are charged with Blink's energy.
