Printable Zombie Half Mask

It is nearing Halloween and every good papercraft blog is posting masks for the season. Here is one from me: a zombie half mask! I thought covering only one eye was an interesting idea for a mask. Although in order to make this look right I think the nose area of the mask needs to be cut out to allow your own nose to stick through. ^^ The 2D printable image for this mask was created by Buz Carter and may be downloaded from his Flickr page here.

Plants vs Zombies Papercraft

The Paper vs Zombies blog hasn't posted any new Plants vs Zombies paper models since 2014. However, as of today's date, downloads of all their papercraft templates are still available. The models aren't easy to build, but if you are skilled enough to pull them off, the results are fabulous. Each of the paper video game characters was created from scratch using 3DS Max, Pepakura Designer, and Photoshop. If you are interested in building any of the models in this collection, download them now! You never know when they will be gone for good.

Severed Zombie Head Paper Toy

If you are looking for gore in your Halloween paper toys, this severed zombie head paper toy is just the ticket. The toy includes a pool of blood along with the head. Presumably the blood is from the zombie's last meal as zombies don't have blood flowing through their veins any longer... do they? ;) The template for the toy is the creation of Abi Braceros and may be downloaded here.

Cute Zombie Paper Toy

Graphic designer Tesha from Montreal is a self-proclaimed Kawaii Guru. Kawaii is a Japanese word which literally means "cute" or "adorable". Tesha has several Kawaii paper toys available for download including a cat  and a bear, but my favorite is this zombie. Check out all of Tesha's cute paper toys here.

Paper Zombie Snowflake

Remember when you cut out paper snowflakes in elementary school? Courts Carter has a nifty new take on the childhood craft: a zombie snowflake! It's just the decoration for those looking to have a zombie Christmas. PDF instructions for the snowflake are available on Carter's Pizza by the Slice website. This is one of those projects that proves papercraft doesn't have to be 3D in order to be fun. :)

Michael Jackson Thriller Zombie Head Paper Toy

Who can forget Michael Jackson's zombie makeup from his Thriller music video? This paper toy of MJ's head was created by the author of the Toca do Caveira website using his blank "cranio freak" paper toy template. Both the blank skull template and the Thriller zombie head template may be downloaded here.

Seated Zombie Paper Toy

Brazilian artists Victor Negreiro and Julio Cesar collaborated to create this nifty zombie paper toy. This blood splattered little fellow has the classic features of rotting flesh and an exposed brain we have all come to expect from zombies. ^^ The template for this paper toy may be downloaded from Negreiro's page here.

Bobby Zombie Paper Toy

This zombie paper toy has a backstory... Bobby died in 1986 on Friday the 13th at the annual ax throwing contest in his country. Each year he rises from the grave to haunt the contest. His shirt proudly proclaims his joy of non-living. ^^ The template for Bobby Zombie is available here.

Papercraft Taco Trucks

Ah, taco trucks... those stereotypical catering trucks where the side opens up to reveal a food counter where anything from hot dogs to tacos might be sold. Goopymart has created eight different cartoonish papercraft models of taco trucks. My personal favorite is the zombie taco truck which sells brains, flesh and organs instead of regular food. Templates of all eight trucks are located here.

Half-Life Papercraft: Headcrab Zombie Mask

I consider this papercraft project something of a failed experiment, but I thought I would post it anyway just in case someone else might be able to do something with it. My original goal was to take a 3D model of a headcrab zombie from the Half-Life video game and turn the zombie's head into a full size hollow paper model that could be worn as a mask. Well, that was a nice idea, but after I did a test build it became apparent that the thing was a little too strangely shaped to work well as a mask. Still, someone else might be able to modify it to get it to work. For those unfamiliar with Half-Life, headcrabs are parasitic creatures that attach themselves to a human host's head eventually turning the host into a zombie. The faint skull image that appears on this papercraft model is presumably the host's skull showing through the headcrab's tightly stretched skin. Details of the template are as follows:

Scale: 1:1 estimated
Finished Size: 15.7"(40cm) x 12.6"(32cm) x 13.8"(35cm)
Number of sheets: 12
Number of parts: 34
Difficulty: 3/5
Download (includes lined & unlined PDF's and a PDO)
