U-boat Paper Model

The German submarines of World War II are referred to in the US as "U-boats", a nickname derived from the German word for submarine: "Unterseeboot". This 1/100 scale paper model of a type VII C U-boat was created by U-Don's Factory.  Printable PDF templates and instructions for the sub are available here. The submarine in the Academy Award nominated movie, Das Boot, is the same type of U-boat as this model.

Jules Verne Submarine Papercraft

Jules Verne's 1896 novel, Facing the Flag, features an experimental submarine named the HMS Sword. The fictional English submarine is described in the book as having a commander and a crew of four. This paper model of the Sword was designed and built by Pavel Styl. A PDF template for the sub is available here. Leonardo Papercraft Vehicles

The BBC's children's television series Leonardo features an imaginative story line that follows the adventures of a teenage Leonardo DaVinci. The kid's activity page for the series features four free paper models of Leonardo's inventions. Included in the set are a tank, a bicycle, a glider and a submarine.  The templates for the papercraft vehicles may be downloaded here.

Japanese Deep Sea Papercraft

From the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) comes a nice assortment of deep sea papercraft. In addition to eight sea creature papercraft there are papercraft of two submarines, a ship and an oceanographic buoy. My favorite is the manta ray.
