Wolf Warrior Origami Ring

I noticed recently there are a lot of people posting original origami videos on Pinterest. Here is one that caught my eye: a "wolf warrior" ring. Now, there was a 2015 movie called Wolf Warrior, but as far as I know, this ring has nothing to do with that. The ring somewhat resembles a Witcher 3D wolf head ring I saw once, but my guess is someone just thought it looked cool to have a ring with a wolf on it. Papercraft Wolf Head

It is curious why so many papercraft designers have created what amounts to life size paper models of taxidermized animal heads. Now, many of the heads are "low poly" geometric representations, but others, like this wolf head by Paper Juke are quite realistic. I assume Juke used a 3D model from some video game as the basis of this papercraft. The Pepakura PDO template for the head may be downloaded here. The finished model is about 10" (26 cm) wide. Zelda Papercraft: Wolf Link and Midna

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess video game, the protagonist Link takes on the form of a wolf and is imprisoned in Hyrule Castle. While in the castle he meets an imp-like creature named Midna who helps him escape. This really well done paper model depicts Midna riding on Wolf Link's back. PDF and Pepakura PDO files for the model may be downloaded here. Twilight Princess is the thirteenth in the ongoing series of Legend of Zelda games.

Papercraft League of Legends Wolf Build Photos

In 2012 I released a template for a papercraft League of Legends wolf. I never had a chance to build the model, so I was happy to find these build photos by DeviantART member JanZonderVrees. Jan did a great job! The template for the model was originally designed by Portaldragon. The League of Legends video game was introduced in 2009.

Papercraft Wolf

Digimon Papercraft: Garurumon

According to the Digimon wiki, Garurumon is a Digimon who "possesses a furious combat instinct and sinews honed in freezing lands, as well as carnivore-like agility and the accuracy to reliably bring down its targets." The template for this papercraft Garurumon is tough to find as the original website of it's creator no longer exists. However, there is still has a copy available here. Previously posted was a paper model of Garurumon's pre-evolved form, Gabumon.

League of Legends Wolf Papercraft

My papercrafter friend Portaldragon did me a huge favor. He unfolded a wolf from League of Legends for me. The finished wolf paper model measures around 12" (30.5 cm) from tip of nose to tip of tail. A download of the wolf is available here. Contained in the download are A4 and Letter size templates in both Pepakura PDO and PDF formats. In the LoL video game, wolves are neutral and described as "A fast monster with an increased chance to critically strike its target".

Printable Paper Halloween Monster Masks

Here are some nifty printable monster masks created for Halloween a couple of years ago by artist Emory Allen. The somewhat cheerful group includes Suntanned Vampire, Naked Mummy, and Studious Werewolf. The masks may be downloaded individually here, here and here.

Chibiterasu Papercraft

Here is an awesome Chibiterasu papercraft by Lyrin-83, one of the most talented papercrafters on DeviantART (in my humble opinion ^^). Lyrin created the 3D model and the textures for the papercraft template all "from scratch" rather than using a 3D model extracted from a video game. Chibiterasu is the young wolf from the Nintendo DS game Okamiden which is a sequel to the Playstation 2 and Wii game, Okami. Lyrin has provided a link to the template for this paper model here.
