After three years, here is the sixth and final house in the Barbie papercraft house series!! Sorry for the wait. This series of houses was originally posted on the Barbie website in 2014. Each of the houses belongs to one of the characters on the animated web show:  Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse.  This is the Casa de Teresa. Barbie Papercraft: Ryan Mansion

I am still working on getting all the Barbie papercraft houses posted! Only one house to go after this one. This series of houses was originally posted on the Barbie website in 2014. Each of the houses belongs to one of the characters on the animated web show: Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. This is Ryan's Mansion. The Barbie Wiki describes Ryan as:

Ryan is the twin brother of Raquelle. He is constantly trying to woo Ken with one of his songs, much to the anger of Ken. He has a crush on Barbie and is Midge's crush. He is conceited just like his sister.

Barbie Papercraft - House of Nikki

Seeing ads for the Barbie movie reminded me... I never did finish posting all the entries in the Barbie papercraft house series! I previously posted three houses: Barbie's Dreamhouse, House of Ken, and the Raquelle Mansion. Now I give you the fourth in the series: House of Nikki. Nikki is best friends with Barbie and Teresa. She actively maintains a vlog about current fashion trends. The papercraft template for her house may be downloaded here. 

This papercraft house series was offered on Barbie.com nine years ago in order to promote the animated web show: Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. Some episodes of the show can still be found on YouTube!

Barbie Papercraft: The Raquelle Mansion

Here is the third house in the Barbie papercraft house series: the Raquelle Mansion. Raquelle is Barbie's "frenemy". She has a big crush on Ken, Barbie's boyfriend. By a not so strange a coincidence, Ryan, Raquelle's twin brother, has a crush on Barbie. What a tangled relationship web there is in Barbie world! The printable template for the Raquelle Mansion may be downloaded here. Ryan and Raquelle originally lived in Hawaii before moving to Barbie's Malibu neighborhood.

Barbie Papercraft: House of Ken

After I posted the Barbie Dreamhouse, there was some interest expressed in the rest of the papercraft series from Mattel. So without further ado, I give you the second in the series: House of Ken. Unlike Barbie's house which is a girlish pink, her boyfriend's house is a boyish blue. Ken seems to have had some problems building his paper model. Not only did he glue his fingers together, he used too much glue on the roof which caused it to get all wrinkly. (^∨^) The printable template for the house may be downloaded here. On the map, Ken's residence is right beside Barbie's, so he is literally dating the girl next door. (^_-)

Barbie Dreamhouse Papercraft

In 2014-2015 Barbie.com offered a series of miniature papercraft houses representing the places where Barbie and her friends live. As the backstory for the houses goes, Barbie and all her friends live on a cul-de-sac on a peninsula which gives each of the houses a beach in their back yard. How did these twenty-somethings get so much money?!  ;) The first in the series is "Barbie's Dreamhouse" (of course!). The PDF template for the house may be downloaded here. Barbie Scale Harpsichord Paper Model

Several years ago I created some Barbie doll sized papercraft, so I was delighted this week to discover I am not the only one! This Barbie scale Baroque harpsichord paper model was created by DeviantART member Menkhar. A PDF file of the printable template for the harpsichord may be downloaded here. Harpsichords were popular in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries but eventually fell out of favor after the invention of the piano.

Mini Warhol Brillo Box Paper Toys

I don't know what came over me when I decided to create a mini papercraft version of Warhol's Brillo Boxes. It took quite a bit of work to accurately recreate the graphics on the boxes. Then there was the question of size. For lack of a better size, I decided to make them Barbie Doll scale (1:6). That way Barbie can be a... er... art museum curator or something. ;) The PDF template for the boxes is available here. Andy Warhol created his Brillo artwork in 1964 as a "deadpan replication of American commercial culture" (or so says the Allen Memorial Art Museum).

Mr. T Cereal Box Papercraft

Although the actor Mr. T has been reduced these days to doing television commercials for World of Warcraft, back in 1984 he was popular enough to have his own brand of breakfast cereal. As if that wasn't an odd enough twist of pop culture in and of itself, the cereal also went on to be immortalized on film by none other than Pee Wee Herman in the 1985 movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure...

When I came across a scan of a Mr. T cereal box in Jason Liebig's wonderful collection of retro product packaging photos on Flickr, I couldn't resist creating a miniature papercraft version of it. So I asked, and Mr. Liebig graciously granted me permission to use his scan for my project. The template for the cereal box papercraft includes two sizes, one at 1:3 scale and the other at 1:6 scale (just the size for Barbie dolls). The one page template may be downloaded here. And just in case you were wondering, the cereal is rumored to have tasted a lot like Cap'n Crunch. ;)

Barbie Scale Guillotine Papercraft

Here is my contribution to the collection of free Halloween papercraft on the Internet this year: a guillotine! I had downloaded a 3D model of a bloody guillotine by designer "Smirnoffka" earlier this year thinking I might do a papercraft of it sometime and finally decided it would work best as a Halloween papercraft. I chose to scale the guillotine to the size of a Barbie doll because there was something just so ironic and disturbing about associating smiling Barbie with a gruesome instrument of death. :) Here are the details of the template:
