Mario Kart 8 Papercraft

The popularity of Mario Kart video games has not diminished since the original game was introduced by Nintendo in 1992. This fan art paper model of Mario's Kart from MK8 was created by DeviantART member DUMDUMBOT. The Pepakura PDO template for the model may be downloaded from MediaFire. The finished model is large, measuring roughly 18" x 12" (46 cm x 30 cm). Sorry, there are no instructions for the model other than the PDO file. Mario Kart 8 introduced anti-gravity racing to the franchise.

Speed Racer Mach 5 Papercraft

The Speed Racer franchise has remained popular since the introduction of the anime in the 1960's. Paper model designs for the iconic Mach 5 race car from the series tend to be either too simplistic or overly complicated. I like this model by Shinya because it strikes the middle ground of being somewhat detailed, yet still easy to build. The Pepakura PDO template for the car may be downloaded here. 1981 Lancia Stratos Paper Model

The Lancia Stratos was a successful rally car during late 1970s and early 80s. This paper model Stratos has the color scheme of Bernard Darniche's car when he won the 1981 Tour de Corse. A printable template for this paper model may be downloaded here. Production of the road version of the Lancia Stratos ceased in 1978.

Lotus E20 Formula 1 Race Car Papercraft

The Lotus E20 was designed and produced by the Lotus F1 Team for the 2012 Formula 1 season. The car is installed with a Renault engine and sports a double-DRS rear wing. This E20 paper model is available as a download here. There isn't any information in the template regarding the scale of the model.  If anyone happens to know the scale, please leave a comment and let me know.

Hover Car Racer Papercraft

Hover Car Racer is a free online novel that follows the exploits of a talented young racer named Jason Chaser who owns a hover car called Argonaut. This papercraft model of the Argonaut is based on a plastic model built by the writer of the novel, Matthew Reilly. Reilly created his original model by combining model kits of a Formula 1 race car and a fighter jet. The template for the hover car paper model may be downloaded here.

Race Car Papercraft: Aston Martin DBR9

Aston Martin made its return to international racing in 2005 with the DBR9. The return was a success with the DBR9 winning its debut race. In 2006 Milos Harant designed this finely detailed 1:18 scale paper model of the 2005 DBR9. A download of the template and instructions for the building the model are available here. Also available is a template of the 2008 racing season DBR9 which has a light blue rather than green color scheme.

Papercraft Porsche 917 Race Cars

At 1:87 scale (also known as HO scale), these papercraft Porsche 917 race cars are slightly smaller than toy Hot Wheels cars. The paper model Porsches are a free download offered by motografica.de, an German image database of historic racing and sports cars from 1920 to 1980. The single page template includes four cars, each with a paint scheme based on a different historic 917 from the early 1970's. The printable template for the cars may be downloaded here.

Maserati Race Car Papercraft

The Maserati 250F was the car that Juan Manuel Fangio drove to victory in the 1957 World Championship. This paper model of the race car was created by Grand Prix enthusiast Paul Cheard using Adobe Illustrator. Cheard estimates that the ten piece model takes about 3 to 4 hours to build. Bowler Wildcat 200 Papercraft

It has been a while since I posted a car papercraft. This hot looking off road racing vehicle is a Bowler Wildcat 200 which was originally produced in the UK by Bowler Off-Road LTD. Bowler Off-Road offers this papercraft on their website. In addition to eight different color schemes for the Wildcat papercraft, they also offer a papercraft model of a Bowler Spirit Race Truck.
