Low Poly Papercraft Bear Wall Art

Paper Iconic, the creator of this low poly bear papercraft, describes his creation as "bas-relief." Bas-relief is an ancient technique of stone carving where sculpted 3D figures project ever so slightly from a flat background. The dimensions of the bear from the front are roughly 16" (40 cm) x 8" (20 cm), yet the depth of the bear is only 2.6" (6.6 cm). The template and instructions for this wall art may be downloaded from Pepakura Gallery. As the template is white, it is not explained how to achieve a black bear, as pictured. The only two options I can think of are: 1) to paint the finished model or 2) print the template on dual sided black and white cardstock so that the template is printed on the white side and then fold "backwards" so the black is on the outside.

LoL Volibear Papercraft

Volibear is a playable character in the League of Legends video game. Volibear is a demigod who is worshiped by the Ursine, a race of bear-like warriors. This paper model of Volibear depicts the original appearance of the character before he was revised in 2020 to have less armor. FNAF Freddy Frostbear Papercraft

In the Five Nights at Freddy's video game universe, Freddy Frostbear is a wintery alternate version of Freddy Fazbear, the character who gives the game its name. As you might guess from the sprig of holly on his hat and his red plaid bowtie, Mr. Frostbear's first appearance was on Christmas Day. This paper likeness of the animatronic bear was created by DeviantART member JakovDrawzz. The JPG template pages for the model may be downloaded from his YouTube page. Papercraft Coca-Cola Polar Bears and Ornament

Dollar General in cooperation with Coca-Cola is offering two Christmas papercraft projects for the 2012 holiday season. Pictured on top is a pair of 3D paper models of the Coca-Cola polar bears designed by Robert Nava of Disney Experience fame. In the mood for something simpler? League of Legends Papercraft: Tibbers

Portaldragon, a papercrafter friend of mine at DeviantART, has started creating some papercraft models of characters from the League of Legends video game. First up, we have a paper model of Tibbers the bear. According to the League of Legend Wiki:

"Tibbers is a shadow bear, a ferocious denizen of the petrified forests in the Voodoo Lands...  He was later tamed by Annie The Dark Child, turning him into her pet. To this day Tibbers remains by her side, spellbound as a stuffed doll to be carried like a child's toy."

Relakkuma Mario Bros Tribute Papercraft

Relakkuma (Relax Bear) and his bud Kiiroitori get another papercraft makeover. This time they are dressed as Mario Bros. characters! These cute papercraft models are the work of deviantART member Ikarusmedia. The templates for the models are posted here. Previously, Relax Bear was given a heavy metal rock makeover.

Heavy Metal Relax Bear Papercraft

Popular Japanese characters Relakkuma (Relax Bear) and Kiiroitori are given a Heavy Metal music makeover by Ikarusmedia. The papercraft template even includes a Les Paul guitar! Look for the download link for the PDF file in the upper right corner of the page here.

Ornate Teddy's Theater Papercraft

This ornate paper theater is intended to be used as a play set for teddy bear paper dolls. Both the theater and the matching paper dolls were created by the unidentified Danish designer who runs the PaperMatrix blog. The project might be seen as a work in progress as various parts and stage sets for the theater have been periodically posted on the blog since May 2010. Templates for the theater parts (and the teddy bear actors too) may be found here (click on the image of the part and after the image has loaded, right click and choose "save image as").

Evil Cartoon Animal Automata

These cantankerous automata critters were created by Juan Diego Sanin. Turn the cranks on their backs and their arms wave and the stars on their chests rotate. From left to right we have Gato Satanico (Satanic Cat), Oso Maloso (Bad Bear), and Conejo Malgenio (Cranky Rabbit). Templates for the automata may be downloaded here.
