Marvel Christmas Papercraft: Baby Groot

You won't find a more unique Christmas papercraft than this: Baby Groot dressed up like a Christmas tree! This paper model shows Groot with a tree topper star on top, a string of lights around his head, and a Christmas wreath around his body. Every part of this model is 3D, including the string of lights, so it will take some time to build. The finished model stands at 21" (55 cm) tall. The printable template (which may be downloaded at W R Papercraft) comes in both Pepakura PDO and PDF formats. There are no instructions available other than the PDO file.

Sadly, Groot is currently gone from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. *Sniff* But perhaps things will change when Avengers: Endgame is released on April 26th! Until then, we can pass the time by building some Marvel papercraft! ;) This Rocket Raccoon and Groot pair was created by the fine folks at UnfoldBrazil. Guardians of the Galaxy Groot Paper Toy

Finally another Groot papercraft! Produced by a graphic designer, this Groot paper toy comes with two different heads. One of the heads has an angry face. The other head has a somewhat sad looking face. The JPG template for the model may be downloaded at Behance. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is set to be released in theaters on May 5th of this year. Can't wait!

Dancing Baby Groot Papercraft

At the end of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, a re-sprouting baby Groot is seen dancing when no one is looking. Designer Richenna King recreates the memorable scene with this baby Groot papercraft. As if the papercraft wasn't cool enough in and of itself, it is also an automata that actually dances! A PDF template, instructions, and a movie of the model in action may be found on King's Behance page. In the Marvel Comics universe, Groot is a member of a plant-based extraterrestrial race. One characteristic of the race is the ability to re-grow after being destroyed (as long as at least one sprig of their former body is recovered).
