Mini Papercraft Cars Collection

I thought the idea behind this collection of mini papercraft cars was fun. Each of the 45 cars is a real life version of a car or vehicle that has appeared as a character in one of Pixar's Cars movies. The 1:250 scale models are small enough that all 45 may be printed on a single sheet of cardstock. The PDF template for these cars is available for download from R&P Models.

Mini Papercraft Pixar Up! House

Since 2011, I have posted two different paper models of Carl's house from the Disney Pixar movie UP!. One of the models was tiny, very detailed, and hard to build. The other was larger, simple, and easy to build. Pictured is a third model of the house that blends the best of the previous two models: it is miniature, yet easy to build. Official Disney Papercraft: Nemo

It took 13 years, but Pixar and Disney have finally produced a sequel to Finding Nemo. The new movie, titled Finding Dory, is set to be released June 17th. Looking to celebrate with some papercraft? ^^ This official paper model of Nemo is offered for free at the Disney Family website (here). Instructions on the website claim the model can be built in 15 minutes!

Easy UP House Paper Model

The Victorian house that played a significant part in the Disney Pixar movie UP has inspired quite a few paper models. The thing I appreciate most about this model from Peach Bum is that it is easy! The template for the model has only 18 parts contained on 5 pages. The creator of the model went so far as to figure out how many real life helium balloons it takes to keep their papercraft house aloft (nine). Carl would be proud. ^^ If this house model is not challenging enough for you, give this one a try instead. :)

Pixar Papercraft: Mike Wazowski

Monsters Inc. was Pixar Animation Studios fourth computer animated film to be released by Walt Disney Pictures. This paper model is of Mike Wazowski, one of the lead monsters in the movie. Mike's job (as with all the monsters in his world) is to scare children in their bedrooms at night. The model of Mr. Wazowski was created by DeviantARTist, LordBruco. Toy Story Papercraft: Woody Marionette

There are lots of Toy Story paper models around, but this functioning Woody marionette is my favorite.  The template for this papercraft is available at the Disney Family website. Woody is a pull string toy who is a primary character in all three of the Toy Story films. The plot of each movie revolves around Woody's relationship with an action figure toy named Buzz Lightyear.

Rat Chef Origami

Here is a delightful origami piece by Nguyen Hung Cuong which he calls "Rat Chef" (an homage to Disney Pixar's Ratatouille perhaps? ^^). The rat, the chef hat and the spoon were each folded from separate piece of paper. The folding pattern for the rat (spoon and hat not included) may be downloaded from Cuong's page here.

Pixar Papercraft: Carl's House Miniature

This miniature papercraft of Carl's house from the 2009 Disney Pixar movie Up is not your usual paper model. First, it is built with three different weights of cardboard and paper. Second, it is hand painted instead of making use of a computer printer for color. If you feel adventurous enough to attempt building one of these yourself, the creator of the house, Michal Miszta, has graciously provided a copy of his template here.

Hot Wheels Scale Movie Vehicles Papercraft

Papercrafter Dave Winfield has an amazing collection of Hot Wheels scale papercraft cars available for download on his website. In addition to papercraft recreations of actual Hot Wheels toy cars from the the late 60's, Dave also offers small scale papercraft cars from movies and television. Pictured above (starting in the upper left and moving clockwise) are the Mystery Machine van from the Scooby Doo television show, Korben Dallas' flying taxi from the science fiction movie The Fifth Element, Snot Rod from the Disney Pixar movie Cars, and finally the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman movie. Templates for all the cars mentioned above are available here.

Wall-E Origami

That lovable Disney robot Wall-E has been featured in several papercraft designs, but this is the only origami I have seen for the little guy. What is amazing about this particular model by Brian Chan is that it was folded out of a single uncut square of paper. A folding diagram and also a video of the folding process may be found at Chan's web page here.

Nokhook Eve Papertoy

In 2008, Nokhookdesign hand-screen T-shirt shop in Thailand sponsored the "Nokhook Paper Toy Project" in which a blank template was issued along with a call for original papertoy designs. This papertoy is one of the many designs that resulted. Based on the character "Eve" in the Disney movie Wall-E, this template was created by the owner of the DIY+ blog and is available for download here.
