Ukrainian Easter Egg Papercraft

I wanted to post something to show support for the people of Ukraine. As we are drawing near Easter, it seemed good to post this Ukrainian Easter egg papercraft by Homespun Magixx. These style of decorated eggs are a folk tradition in the Ukraine known as "pysanky". The process of creating a pysanka involves a dye and wax process similar to batik. The process of creating this papercraft egg involves gluing together spiral strips of card stock. This particular egg has, most fittingly, peace doves on it. My prayer for Ukraine is for swift and lasting peace.

Easy Papercraft Easter Story Diorama

The My Little House website produces a variety of paper models based on stories in the Bible. An appropriate model to build this time of year is their diorama of the Easter story. The diorama includes the risen Christ, Mary Magdalene, two angels, two Roman soldiers, the empty tomb, plus a variety of rocks and trees. Printable Minions Easter Egg Holders

Who would have thought when Despicable Me first came out that the Minions would become so immensely popular? Yet here they are even showing up as Easter decorations. These printable Minion Easter egg holders are offered by Fun.com. The only drawback to a Minion themed Easter is that all the eggs end up being yellow. That is unless you create some evil purple Minions as well ;) Included in the download are a collection of miscellaneous parts so you can create your own custom Minions.

Papercraft Faberge Easter Egg

Paper Pino has created a papercaft Faberge egg for Easter! The template for the egg uses the same construction technique that Pino makes use of in his papercraft terrestrial and celestial spheres. Thanks for the Easter gift Pino! The template for the egg may be downloaded here. Only 43 of the real Faberge eggs have survived from the early 20th century.

Papercraft Rabbit for Easter

Faceted papercraft animals seem to be all the rage for home decoration these days. This free polygonal bunny paper model was created specifically to be used as an Easter decoration. Anastasia Baron, the creator of the bunny, likens his pose to the famous hare drawing by Albrecht-Dürer. The finished model is hollow underneath and may be used as a hiding place for eggs and candy. DIY Easter Pop-up Card

I like the effect of this Easter pop-up card. The white cutouts of the trees, bunnies and flowers give it a an almost lacy appearance.
