Woven Papercraft Hot Air Balloon Mobile

The thing I like about this hot air balloon mobile is that it takes very little glue to make. The balloons are held together primarily by weaving two star shaped pieces of paper together. Lene at PaperMatrix found inspiration for creating these balloons from traditional Danish woven paper designs.

Here are some simple, but beautiful papercraft gemstones from Kate at the Minieco website. As you can see, Kate loves brilliant colors. ^^ These gems were created by printing a blank template on color cardstock. This unusual kinetic papercraft meat sculpture is brought to you by the folks at wurstakademie.com, a German website devoted entirely to the subject of sausage. The sausage mobile is billed as a craft project for kids, although adults might have some fun building it as well. A template for the mobile is located here, just right click on the image and save. The mobile as an art form was popularized by American sculptor Alexander Calder, in case you were wondering. ^^
