Free Disney Princess Paper Dolls

If  my daughter were still young enough, its highly likely these free Disney Princess paper dolls would be on our papercraft to-do list. Released through the Disney Family website, these paper dolls are about as "official Disney" as it gets. Currently available are Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. In case you're wondering, the Ariel doll does have a mermaid body hidden beneath those clothes. ^^ All four of the paper dolls may be downloaded here.

Doctor Who Dalek Paper Dolls

On the one hand, the idea of Dalek paper dolls seems a little absurd, but on the other hand there is something about them I find a little amusing. These well executed Dalek paper dolls are the creation of DeviantART member, MadunTwo-Swords. The dolls may be downloaded here. Madun also offers many other Doctor Who cutouts to amaze and delight.

Sherlock Paper Dolls

Actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman play Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in the popular BBC television series, Sherlock. As part of a "Let's Draw Sherlock" project on Tumblr, Bluebell of Baker Street created paper dolls of the two detectives. Each doll comes with five changes of clothes. A download of the printable dolls may be found here. Sherlock Season 4 is scheduled to begin filming in Spring 2016.

Vintage 1912 Fairy Tale Paper Dolls

This Prince Charming paper doll is one of several fairy tale characters featured in a postcard series from 1912. The idea is simple: each postcard has one paper doll with two sets of costumes to wear. The costumes allow the doll to transform into an entirely different fairy tale character. So Prince Charming can become the Frog Prince and also Jack the Giant Killer. Six different postcards from the series may be viewed at Dedree Drees Flickr album here.

Frozen Paper Dolls

Since its release in 2013, Disney's Frozen continues to grow in popularity. This set of paper dolls is a fan art creation by Cory Jensen. Included in the set are one change of clothes for the gents, and several changes for the ladies. Olaf the snowman is also included, but sadly he does not get any additional clothes to wear. Vintage Snow White Paper Dolls

Disney's Snow White was released in 1937, however merchandise related to the movie continued to be released in the years following. These paper dolls were published by the Whitman Company in the mid-1960's. The set includes Snow White, the Prince, the Evil Queen, and all seven of the dwarfs. David Bowie Paper Doll

From CBC music in honor of David Bowie's album release in 2013: a paper doll! Says CBC, "From Ziggy Stardust to Labyrinth, impress your friends by mixing and matching several of Bowie's most iconic looks". In all, there are nine different sets of clothing for the doll. Printable Bruce Lee Paper Doll

Offered for fun by the Allzine blog, here's a paper doll of martial arts icon, Bruce Lee. The doll's clothes are costumes from Lee's various movies. Printable JPG images for the doll are available here. On the same page is a Flash version of the doll that can be dressed without the need of printing or cutting.  Bruce Lee died in 1973 from an allergic reaction to a painkiller. Including movies he did as a child, Lee starred in 25 different films.

Gremlins Paper Dolls

These Gremlins cut outs by UK illustrator Hoborobo were originally a T-shirt design but that doesn't stop them from being used as real paper dolls. The props that come with the dolls are those used by Gizmo and the evil gremlins in the two Gremlins movies. A JPG of the dolls may be downloaded here.

Dunder Mifflin Paper Dolls

As a piece of fan art, Cat Carlisle created paper dolls of characters from the hit television series The Office. The dolls have changeable accessories and outfits from memorable episodes of the show. The most elaborate of the accessories that come with the dolls is a 3D model of Michael Scott's desk. The dolls are available in two sizes and may be downloaded here.

Star Wars Paper Dolls: Luke and Leia

Amy Pronovost is a graphic designer who loves Star Wars, so she made use of her skills to create  hand drawn Luke and Leia paper dolls. Pictured are just a few of the many outfits available. I like the small touches Amy has thrown in such as Luke's Boba Fett underoos and the "cut here" mark on the left hand of his Bespin outfit. ^^ Both dolls and their outfits may be downloaded here.

Beauty and the Beast Paper Dolls

Cory Jensen created these Beauty and the Beast paper dolls back in January 2012 to celebrate Disney re-releasing the movie in 3D. I like the clean style of her graphic design work. The printable dolls may be downloaded here.

Edward Scissorhands Paper Dolls

I think this paper doll thing is growing on me. ^^ These paper dolls were created in 2011 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Tim Burton's movie, Edward Scissorhands. If you look closely you will recognize all sorts of props and characters from the movie. This art is the work of illustrator Rozenn Bothuon and may be downloaded here.

Thor Paper Doll

I don't typically post paper dolls, but this one was a little out of the ordinary. ^^ This Thor paper doll is but one in a lengthy series of free paper dolls by illustrator Kyle Hilton.
