Printable Halloween Pumpkin D20

If you are playing a tabletop role playing game in the month of October, this Halloween pumpkin D20 is the thing you need. Gio Lasar, the creator of this papercraft, suggests this ornery looking jack-o'-lantern would also make a nice Halloween ornament to hang about the house. Papercraft Dice Illusion

Remember that papercraft dragon that gave the illusion its eyes were following you about the room? Here is another papercraft illusion built around the same principle. When rotated back and forth, the apparently 3D dice appear to hover and roll over the game board. Instructions and a free PDF template for the illusion may be downloaded at Instructables.com. This papercraft was designed by paper engineer extraordinaire Rob Ives.

Steampunk Themed Papercraft Gaming Dice

These papercraft gaming dice were created by Aaron at the DM's Craft forum. As you can tell from the gears and such decorating the dice, Aaron is a fan of all things Steampunk. Printable templates for the dice may be downloaded here. Included in the download are a D4, a D8, a D12, a D20, and four D6 dice.

Disney Cheshire Cat Fortune Teller

This printable Cheshire Cat "fortune teller" toy is the same shape as D12 dice used in RPG games. The toy works on the same principle as the "Magic 8 Ball" toy (only the die inside the Magic 8 Ball has 20 sides instead of just 12). Having only two pieces, the fortune teller is a quick and easy build. The papercraft template for the toy is available here.

Papercraft d12 2013 Desk Calendars

Here's a unique idea: functional calendars in the form of the familiar d12 dice used in role-playing games. Each of the six different dodecahedron calendars is about 4" (10 cm) in diameter when completed. Templates may be downloaded at Kev's Lounge. Hmm, I wonder if these could be used as real dice in a pinch? ;)

Printable Monster Rampage Board Game

You gotta love a free board game, especially when it involves both papercraft and giant monsters terrorizing a city. ^^ This printable table top game is called "Smash Monster Rampage". The PDF downloads for the game include (among other things) templates for 3D buildings, 2D monsters, and a paper die. According to the authors, a single play of the game takes about one hour.

Kingdom Hearts II Papercraft: Sora Card & Dice

I built these KH2 papercraft just for fun. They are the card and die form the character Sora becomes when he loses to certain attacks by Luxord, the Gambler of Fate. Even though Sora is transformed into only a single die in the game, I went ahead and created two dice (not that you could actually use them in any kind of board game). The 3D model the dice are based on has unequal sides which probably throws off the randomness of their rolls.

The card form Sora is sized to match real playing cards. The back of the card has Nobody symbols and matches Luxord's Fair Game weapon. The front of the card has a low resolution image of Sora (the game developers must have decided not to use a higher resolution image since the card appears only briefly and at a distance in the game). Stone Textured Paper Dice

Here's some nice stone textured papercraft dice by artist William McAusland. If the templates for these dice are printed one per page, the dice come out rather large, so I printed out four templates per page instead. Doing so resulted in the finished dice being a more usable size. Six different dice are available, four of which are pictured: d4, d6, d8, and a pair of d10 dice that are equivalent to a d100. Not pictured are the d12 and d20 dice. Templates may be downloaded here.

Cute Paper Dice Birds

These cute papercraft birds may not look like dice at first glance, but in the lower right corner of each face there is a small number. The bird dice come complete with a nifty carrying case with a hinged lid. The templates for these are available here at a Japanese website called "Mongo Village". If I knew Japanese I could tell you more, but it appears these birds are characters that live on an imaginary island.

Paper Dice Bonanza

Bruno Van de Casteele at www.puam.be has created a series of ten paper dice for use in role-playing games (RPG). The dice designs range from a two sided die all the way up to a pair of ten sided dice that can be used to simulate the roll of a single one hundred sided die. Five of Bruno's designs are shown. From left to right, following the notation common in RPG systems, the dice are a d8, a d10, a d4, a d20, and a d6. If the dice templates are printed without modification, the resulting dice come out rather large as can be seen by the size of the red d10 (I have added a quarter to the photo for reference). I was able to get a smaller scale on the other four dice by printing two templates per one sheet of cardstock. Downloads of the templates are available in both PDF and GIF format.

Papercraft Skull Dice

Here are two unrelated pairs of papercraft dice with skulls. The red pair on top are the Oogie Boogie's dice. Oogie Boogie is a villain from the 1993 Disney movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Oogie also is a reoccurring character in the Kingdom Hearts video game series.

The black pair of dice are a weapon called "Demon Dice" from the video game American McGee's Alice. When these dice are cast in the game a demon is summoned who then attacks your enemy.
