DC2 Holy Daedalus Blade Papercraft

The 2002 Dark Cloud 2 video game features two playable characters, a boy named Maximilian and a girl named Monica. Monica is a royal who receives a sword from her father, King Raybrandt. This sword is known as the "Holy Daedalus Blade." The paper model pictured is a 1:2 scale replica of that blade. This is my 136th papercraft release! FFIX Zidane Sword Papercraft

Last fall, as a favor for a friend, I created a papercraft template for Zidane's sword from the Final Fantasy IX video game. To be accurate, Zidane has not one sword, but two identical swords that may be connected together at the hilt. Anyhow, the unlocked Pepakura PDO template for the sword may be downloaded from MediaFire. The 3D model that the template was created from did not lend itself well to translation into papercraft, so there are some fussy little pieces that will frustrate all but the most seasoned papercrafter. Also, I did not attempt to unfold the tassel on the hilt. The pieces for it were tossed to one side of the main template layout so that they would not print. If anyone successfully builds this, send me a photo to the email address on my profile and I will post it!

Skyrim Papercraft: Glass Sword

The last time I posted a Skyrim papercraft was 2015. I am overdue! Pictured is a 1:1 scale paper model of a glass sword from the video game. How can a sword be made of glass you say? The Elder Scrolls Wiki explains:

"Despite their name, 'glass' weapons are not made of actual glass, but of refined Malachite, a strong, glass-like green stone which can be sharpened to a fine edge..."

This model was created by Broken Papercrafts. The template is available in Pepakura PDO format only and may be downloaded here. The download includes two textures, one to make a green bladed sword, and another to make one that is blue bladed (pictured).

Hobbit Papercraft: Elvenking Sword

This life size paper model is of the Elvenking's sword as it appears in the Hobbit movies directed by Peter Jackson. The Elvenking's name is Thranduil. He is the father of Legolas, an elf played by Orlando Bloom in both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies. LotR Papercraft: Bilbo's Sword Sting

In The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins finds his trusty sword "Sting" in a pile of treasure horded by trolls. Sting is actually an Elf dagger, but to Bilbo, a halfling, the dagger is large enough to be used as a sword. This life-size papercraft recreation of the movie version of Sting is the work of DeviantARTist hugo-drax. The Pepakura PDO template for the model may be downloaded here. The template for the sword includes a matching sheath.

Adventure Time Demon Blood Sword Papercraft

The Demon Blood Sword is the longest of the many swords Finn uses in the Adventure Time animated series. The sword is supposedly composed of demon blood which is ironic given the sword's basic shape is that of a Celtic cross. A Pepakura PDO template for building a full scale papercraft Demon Blood Sword may be downloaded here. The template was created by DeviantART member Aiko-chan14. Adventure Time Papercraft: Fionna's Crystal Sword

In the Adventure Time animated series the character Fionna has a crystal sword. The Adventure Time wiki describes the sword as having the "appearance of a ruby" with a "pinkish glow" and also "retractable, akin to a lightsaber". The Pepakura PDO template for this full size paper model of the sword was created by aiko-chan14 and may be downloaded here.

Adventure Time Papercraft: Golden Sword of Battle

The Golden Sword of Battle is Finn's primary weapon in the Adventure Time animated series. This paper model of the Golden Sword is 1:1 scale and measures 28" (71 cm) long. When designing the sword I experimented with construction techniques in the hope of making it stronger than previous papercraft swords I have done. I believe I succeeded, although after an extended period of whipping around my build of the model it started to show some weakness where the blade meets the handle. ;) The template for the sword is available in both Letter and A4 size and may be downloaded here.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Papercraft: Auron's Sword

The character Auron first appeared in the Final Fantasy X video game. Auron also makes an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 2. This papercraft sword is how Auron's weapon appears in KH2. The finished model is 37" (95 cm) long.  It has only 15 parts making it a fairly easy build. I intended the sword to be primarily for display, so if you want to use it for something active it will need to be reinforced on the inside. Lord of the Rings Papercraft: Aragorn's Sword Anduril

Here's another Lord of the Rings paper model from Matrixskull. This time it is a 1:1 scale papercraft of Aragorn's reforged sword, Anduril. Anduril first appears in the third LOTR movie, The Return of the King. From tip to tip the paper sword measures a whopping 55" (140 cm) long! I especially like the inclusion of a display stand with the model.  The template for the sword (Pepakura PDO only) may be downloaded here. Previously, Matrixskull created a full scale papercraft of Legolas' blade.

LOTR Papercraft: Legolas Elf Sword

In the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, the elf Legolas carried two swords on his back. Given the popularity of the character, I figured it was only a matter of time before someone created paper models of Legolas' swords (or "fighting knives" as some like to call them). Kingdom Hearts Papercraft: Dream Sword

Another Kingdom Hearts II papercraft is complete! The Dream Sword is one of three weapons (along with the Dream Rod and the Dream Shield) that may be used in the "Dive to the Heart" area of KH2. This paper model Dream Sword is 1:1 scale and measures 36" (92cm) long. The finished model is more than sturdy enough for display purposes, but if you want to use it for something more active like cosplay then it will need to be reinforced inside with a material stronger than cardstock. In the epic Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, the weapon of choice of the fierce Uruk-hai orcs is a wide bladed scimitar. In this film clip, several examples of the sword can be seen...

This miniature papercraft version of the orc blade has only four parts and is fairly easy to build. Full template information is as follows:
