In the
Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, the elf Legolas carried two swords on his back. Given the popularity of the character, I figured it was only a matter of time before someone created paper models of Legolas' swords (or "fighting knives" as some like to call them). Thanks to MatrixSkull at IRP Papercraft, the wait is over! The papercraft template for constructing 1:1 scale models of the Elvish blades may be downloaded
here. (Pepakura PDO format only)
Any way that somebody can upload this to medifira? The original link isnt working anymore.

DeleteSome of us are asking for the password 'cause we need to scale them. Sometimes we don't want the 1:1 scale.
ReplyDeleteThis is not my papercraft design. The original designer of this papercraft chose not to provide the password, so I am unable help in that regard. There are, however, several work-arounds for those who wish to rescale password protected PDO files. One method is to print to a PDF then scale the PDF in Photoshop.
Deleteplan on printing this out on card stock, but will regular printer paper work too?
ReplyDeleteAnd how big will this be when it's completed?
Regular printer paper will work, but the finished model will be much less sturdy than using card stock. I am not exactly sure how big the model is, but from photos I have seen it looks to be about 2' (61cm) long.
