WH40K Papercraft: Malcador Tank

The Ukrainian paper model designer, Eli Patoroch, is a prolific creator of Warhammer 40k papercraft. Over the years he has created hundreds of model templates, all of them free. All his models are very well designed, but do take considerable skill to build. This photo shows one example of his work: a Malcador Defender tank. WH40K Devastator Marine Papercraft

I consider DaiShiHUN to be a papercraft master. His builds are meticulous. Hardly a white paper edge shows anywhere. Pictured is an example of one of his builds: A Warhammer 40,000 Veteran Devastator Marine, Ultramarines Chapter. This paper model was created using a 3D model from the Dawn of War II: Retribution video game. The Pepakura PDO template for the model may be downloaded here. Included in the download is an alternate gun that is smaller than the one in the photo.

Papercraft Warhammer Bunker

One last post for 2017! Here we have an Imperial bunker for use in Warhammer 40,000 tabletop wargamming. At five parts, the bunker is incredibly simple to build! This model was built by German Warhammer enthusiast, Ralf Engels. A printable template for the model may be downloaded here.

WH40K Macharius Tank Paper Model

 This paper model of a Warhammer 40K Macharius tank is a repaint by of a model originally created by Eli Patoroch. A PDF template for the model may be downloaded here. The Macharius' weapons include: turret-mounted Twin-Linked Battle Cannons, a hull-mounted Twin-Linked Heavy Stubber, and a sponson-mounted Heavy Bolter on each side. Warhammer 40K Papercraft: Macharius Omega Tank

According to the Warhammer 40k wiki, the Macharius Omega tank is "a war-machine built with a single purpose, the battlefield deployment of the Omega Pattern Plasma Blastgun." A plasma blastgun operates by delivering lethal blasts of superheated matter to the target. This paper model of a Macharius Omega was designed by Eli Patoroch and may be downloaded here. The build photo is by Dented-Rick who shrank the template down to 25% of the original size in order to build a mini version of the model.

Warhammer 40k Dreadnought Papercraft

According to the Warhammer 40k Wiki:

"Dreadnoughts are war incarnate, towering machines that advance forwards with thunderous strides, fiery death roaring from the myriad of heavy weapons mounted on their hulls. They are terrifying foes, fighting with all the skill and ferocity of a Space Marine, but combined with the durability and firepower of a battle tank."

This exquisitely detailed dreadnought paper model  is available for free from Spendlik Paper Models. A 85 MB ZIP file containing PDF templates for the model may be downloaded here. Two variations of the model are included in the download: Blood Angels Chapter and Ultramarines.

Warhammer Necron Night Scythe Papercraft

Here's another fine Warhammer miniature gaming papercraft from Jim Bowen. This papercraft falls into the "2.5D" category of paper models as the ship is formed from flat printouts that are glued to black foam core then stacked. According to the Warhammer 40k Wiki, the Night Scythe is "capable of combat operations in both the void and within a planet's atmosphere. It serves the Necron forces in the interceptor, starship assault, and fighter-bomber roles." The template for the model is available here.

Warhammer 40k Papercraft: Celestian Battle Sister

This Celestian Battle Sister has to be one of the best Warhammer 40k paper models I have seen. Love the detailed textures. In the Warhammer universe, the Adepta Sororitas (also known as the Sisters of Battle) are an all-female military division. Celestians are Battle Sisters who have proven themselves above and beyond the call of duty during battle. The Pepakura PDO template by Susanin210 may be downloaded here. Warhammer Papercraft - Valkyrie Assault Carrier

For use in the Warhammer 40k tabletop wargame, this papercraft Imperial Guard Valkyrie was created as an alternative to the more expensive store-bought plastic model of the aircraft. The Valkyrie is described by the manufacturer of the game as "a twin-engine attack craft used for aerial insertions and drop missions". Warhammer Ultramarines Stormtalon Gunship Papercraft

Here's another fine Warhammer 40k papercraft from Jim Bowen: a Stormtalon gunship. According to the Warhammer wiki, a Stormtalon is

"An aerial interceptor and ground-attack aircraft that serves in the armies of the Adeptus Astartes. The Stormtalon possesses Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) capabilities which allows it to hover in place."  

This paper model is specifically an Ultramarines Chapter Stormtalon equipped with twin-linked assault cannons and Typhoon missile launchers. The PDF template for the model may be downloaded here. Build photo by Kotlesiu.

Warhammer 40,000 Paper Toys

Jim Bowen created a whole slew of 3" tall paper Terminators from the miniature wargame Warhammer 40,0000. These papercraft toys are a little too large for use in miniature gaming but they work great as desktop decorations.  Most of the Terminators include options for power fists, lightning claws, storm bolters, power weapons, storm shields and thunder hammers.
