MechWarrior Mad Cat Papercraft

I liked this Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) paper model because it was created from scratch rather making use of a 3D model from one of the MechWarrior video games. The Mad Cat is a fan favorite mech from the BattleTech franchise of board games and video games. The printable papercraft template for the model was created by DeviantARTist Walter-NEST and may be downloaded here. The model is approximately 1:50 scale and stands 8" (21 cm) tall when complete.

Final Fantasy XI Chocobo Papercraft

I have been playing the Final Fantasy Tactics app lately and it has made me nostalgic for the Final Fantasy papercraft people used to create 8 or 9 years ago. One of the nicest FF paper models from that time period was this chocobo from Final Fantasy XI by Kaizo Papercraft. The Pepakura PDO file is still available here. Kaizo never "officially" released this papercraft so the template is really rough and could use some editing, but as you can see, if you put some effort into it, the end result is awesome. By the way, the cat on the chocobo's back is an unrelated FFVII papercraft.

Digimon Papercraft: Renamon

It's been a while since I posted any Digimon papercraft. Here's a good one: a Renamon paper model created in 2011 by DeviantART member Destro2k. Renamon is a rookie level Digimon who digivolves to Kyubimon then Taomon and finally Sakuyamon. Pepakura PDO and PDF templates for the model may be downloaded here. The fur around Renamon's neck is made out of cotton.

Adventure Time Enchiridion Paper Toy

Back in 2015 I released a Kingdom Hearts Winnie the Pooh book paper toy with the intent of producing a series of paper toy books. Here finally, is the second book in the series: the Enchiridion from the Adventure Time animated television show! This is my release of original papercraft for the month of December as promised in November. The papercraft template for the book may be downloaded here. Inside the book is a map of the Land of Ooo where the Adventure Time stories take place. The Enchiridion is a powerful ancient magical tome found by Finn the Human on one of his adventures.

Mini Santa Sleigh Papercraft

Several years ago Canon Creative Park released a Santa Claus papercraft set complete with sleigh, Christmas presents, and a reindeer. Recently, Canon released a new mini version of the papercraft where the reindeer is flying instead of walking like in the previous, larger version. This papercraft was created by Katsuyuki Shiga and may be downloaded here.

Vintage Disney Papercraft: Peter Pan Dioramas

Robert Nava at The Disney Experience has done a lovely job of scanning and cleaning up a vintage Peter Pan "punchout book". The 1953 book features glue-less construction and includes four dioramas of scenes from Disney's Peter Pan (my fave is the mermaid scene ^^ ). Pictured is the largest of the dioramas: Captain Hook's pirate ship. The printable PDF for the dioramas may be downloaded here.

Fantastic Beasts Papercraft: Niffler

In the Fantastic Beasts movies there are magical creatures known as "nifflers". Some describe the appearance of nifflers as a cross between a duck-billed platypus, a mole, and a beaver. Newt Scamander, the protagonist of the movies, notes in his book on fantastic beasts that:

"The niffler is a British beast. Fluffy, black and long-snouted, this burrowing creature has a predilection for anything glittery. Nifflers are often kept by goblins to burrow deep into the earth for treasure. Though the niffler is gentle and even affectionate, it can be destructive to belongings and should never be kept in a house."
