Papercraft designer Shunichi Makino intended for these Steampunk glasses to have a retro feel. However, the end result, he says, reminds him a lot of the droid C-3PO from the Star Wars universe. The nice thing about these paper glasses is that they are offered in three levels of difficulty, from the most complicated ones shown in the photo, to a super simple pair that are not much more than a 2 1/2 D cut-out.
