Papercraft Medieval Tents

These papercraft tents were created by an architect, Krzysztof, who based his designs on images from actual medieval illuminated manuscripts. The knightly pavilions are just the right size for miniature gaming and are easy to build. The template for the tents (as well as the 2D character cut-outs shown in the photo) may be found at Krzysztof's website, Mini Lab Models. Also available for download is a paper model of a church building drawn in the same style.

Mighty Thor Papertoy

This cute glue-less paper toy of the Mighty Thor is immediately recognizable as the work illustrator Anthony Brennan. Anthony's specialty is creating paper toys of celebrities, but he does do the occasional superhero. WoW Papercraft: Vrykul Helm

According to the World of Warcraft Wiki the Vrykul are:

"a race of Norse-themed half-giant warriors native to the Howling Fjord, located in southeastern Northrend... Vrykul are brutal in nature, and are served by worgs and a similarly mysterious race of proto-dragons. They practice a runic magic that even the most experienced wizards find unfamiliar."

Sound like tough opponents to beat! This papercraft Vrykul helm was created by Harlan Browning. The Pepakura PDO template may be downloaded here.

Papercraft Ferris Wheel

Elaine Wolfe, the designer of this papercraft Ferris wheel, built the wheel to give as a gift. There is lots to like about the project. First, the wheel actually spins! Second, the base is a box in which a present can be hidden. From experience, Elaine says the wheel takes about 4 hours to make: one hour of cutting and about three hours of gluing. Street Fighter Papercraft: Ryu

To date, the character Ryu has appeared in every video game in the Street Fighter franchise. Along with Ken Masters, Ryu was one of the two main characters in the original Street Fighter game released in 1987. Ryu's trademark costume is a ragged karate gi. Printable Pop-up Papercraft Dollhouse

Who says learning can't be fun? This printable pop-up papercraft dollhouse was created by the Konica Minolta company to teach kids about things they can do in their house to help prevent global warming. Each of the four rooms in the dollhouse is a separate PDF download available at the Konica Minolta website. Although the instructions are in Japanese, the excellent photos allow one to build the dollhouse without knowing the language.

Star Wars Papercraft: Han Solo

To the delight of Star Wars fans everywhere, Han Solo will appear in Star Wars: Episode VII, the next movie in the Star Wars franchise. As if in anticipation of the coming film, this paper model of Han was created by DeviantART member Stange1337. The finished model stands about 16.5" (42 cm) tall. A download of his papercraft template is available here. Episode VII is scheduled for release in December 2015.

Transformable Papercraft Decepticon Jets

These delightful paper models of the Decepticons Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker actually transform into F-22 Raptor fighter jets. The Decepticons, of course, are the mortal enemies of the Transformers. The templates for these paper models were created by DeviantART member Tom062 who based the designs on a model he found "deep in the recesses of the Internet". Cute Final Fantasy Chocobo Papercraft

There are several different free papercraft chocobos available on the Internet, but this one is undoubtedly one of the cutest. :) This papercraft was based on a 3D model from the Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon video game by Square Enix. The papercaft template for the model was created by DeviantART member Pastel-Leaf and may be downloaded here. Since Final Fantasy II, chocobos have appeared in nearly every Final Fantasy video game.

Origami Horse

David Brill has this to say about his work as an origami artist:

"The origami artist must resolve seemingly impossible technical challenges because of the restrictions of the square of paper and the unwritten rules of origami (not to cut, not to glue, not to decorate). These limitations have stimulated remarkable solutions: in other words restriction yields richness."
