Near the end of the trip through Disney's
Haunted Mansion attraction, the "narrator" of the ride warns to "Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!" Shortly after the warning, three ghosts appear; their thumbs out as if to catch a lift. These illusion paper toys of the hitchhiking trio were released as a Halloween treat by the Disney Parks Blog in 2011. here. The optical illusion these toys use makes it appear as if their heads and eyes move to follow you wherever you go.
