Low Poly Deer Skull Papercraft

Here's another great low poly papercraft skull from Gedelgo! This time it is a life-size deer skull. It's just the thing to hang over the fireplace in the hunting lodge. ;) The template is all white. If color is desired, then color cardstock must be used. For example, in the photo, the antlers were printed on black cardstock. Fortnite Papercraft: Ragnarok Mask

Happy Halloween! If you are looking for a quick last minute costume, this Fortnite Ragnarok mask is probably not the thing for you as it will take more than a couple of hours to build. But just in case you do have the time... ;) This mask was released by Sabi96 in 2018. The download (available HERE) includes both PDF and Pepakura PDO templates. Ragnarok is one of many Legendary Outfits in the Fortnite video game. The Ragnarok outfit depicts a blue-haired Norse warrior who wears a demon skull mask into combat.

Pop-up Papercraft Skull

This pop-up paper skull was the 343rd skull Noah Scalin made as part of the "Skull-day-Project" he completed in 2008. Noah describes this piece as "more of a paper sculpture than a truly functional pop-up piece". The pop-up achieves a good 3D effect considering it has only three parts. 9th Anniversary!

Today is the 9th anniversary of Tektonten Papercraft! Never did I imagine I would last this long when I first started blogging! Faceted Papercraft Triceratops Skull

Here's one of those DIY, low-poly paper models like we all see for sale on the Internet these days. Only difference is... this one is free! This faceted papercraft triceratops skull was created by DeviantART member, Gedelgo. The finished model measures about 35 cm long. A printable template for the dino skull may be downloaded here. Triceratops are thought to have roamed the Earth about 68 million years ago.

Papercraft Day of the Dead Skull

Halloween is past, but today marks the third day of El Día de Muertos (The Day of the Dead). The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday when prayers are said for deceased family and friends. This papercraft skull was inspired by traditional Mexican decorations displayed this time of year. Creator Jonny Chiba intended for the skull to be used as a decortation for both Halloween and El Dia de Muertos. The template for the skull (available here) is black and white and may be colored however you wish.

Papercraft American Bison Skull

Faceted paper sculpture animals seem to be quite popular these days. This papercraft buffalo skull is one I find more interesting than most. I can easily see this as a decorative piece in a home with a southwestern theme. The creator of this papercraft based his design on a 3D model found on the Thingiverse website. Papercraft Skull No. 5: Wolfenstein

I have finished another skull in my papercraft skull series! This skull is based on a 3D model from the World War II themed video game, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. In the game, skulls like this can be found (among other places) in secret rooms inside Nazi strongholds. As with the other skulls in the series, this one is roughly 1:1 scale. Grim Reaper Papertoy

This not-so-grim reaper paper toy was offered as a free Halloween printable a couple of years ago by the urban threads blog, StitchPunk. Cute Printable Paper Skeleton

Halloween is nearly upon us! If your tastes in Halloween decorations lean toward the cute side, then this printable paper skeleton is just the thing for you. Metal brads make the skeleton pose-able, but if brads are not to be found, the little fellow can be glued in whatever position you like. Papercraft Skull No. 4: AvP

As promised back in November, here is another papercraft skull in my video game skull series. It has been over two years since the last skull! This skull is based on a 3D model from the Aliens vs Predator video game. I am not sure where exactly the skull appears in the game, but it is most likely a Predator's human trophy skull. The template download includes Letter and A4 PDF templates and a Pepakura PDO file. The scale of the skull is slightly smaller than life and matches the size of the previous skulls in the series which may be found here:

5th Anniversary!

Due to dealing with a flooded basement, I missed mentioning that November 5th was the fifth anniversary of Tektonten Papercraft! Thanks for everyone’s continued support! This has not been my most productive year for papercraft, but I hope to get back in the swing of things in the next twelve months. One thing I want to do is to add more papercraft skulls to my video game skull series. Pictured are some of my “work in progress” skulls. Momento Mori Skull Papercraft

The Skull-A-Day blog has an easy to build "momento mori" papercraft. A momento mori is a work of art intended to make the viewer aware of their own mortality. A positive spin on such art is that it reminds us to make the most of each day. The template for this skull may be downloaded here.

Paper Automata Skull

Just in time for Halloween, Patrick Pasques at A L'ombre du Pommier has released a paper automata skull. A simple three piece template makes for an easy build. After pressing the skull down to make it grin and reveal its eyes, the "spring loaded" design allows the skull to pop back up. Download the fun here.

Pop-up Paper Skull

One of the many items offered by Carol at the Extreme Cards and Papercrafting blog is this pop-up paper skull. The pop-up may be used as a greeting card, but it would also make a nice decoration for the Mexican Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) coming up in October. Predator Bio Mask Paper Model With Stand

This is my favorite papercraft Predator mask out of the three that are currently available (see the other two masks here and here). It's my fav for a couple of reasons. First, it has a finished interior that the others don't have. Second, it comes with a display stand. I especially like the little skulls on the side. ^^ The template for this 1:1 scale paper model was created by Noturno Sukhoi and may be downloaded here.

Papercraft Skull #3: KH2 Oogie's Manor

This papercraft skull is based on a 3D model of a skeleton that appears in the Oogie's Manor area of the Kingdom Hearts 2 video game. Oogie's Manor, of course, is the lair of the Oogie Boogie from Disney's Nightmare Before Christmas. The skull is presumably from one of the Oogie's victims who perished in his torture chamber. This skull reminds me of Mexican Day of the Dead skulls and I suspect it would look sweet under a black light. ;) The template for the skull may be downloaded here. Papercraft Skull #2: League of Legends

My second video game skull papercraft is complete! This skull appears in the shop in the League of Legends video game. League of Legends is a online real-time strategy (RTS) video game which was inspired by Warcraft III. The size of this skull matches the size of the 1:1 scale Half-Life skull paper model I released previously. The PDF template for the LoL skull may be downloaded here.

Papercraft Skull #1: Half-Life

For my Halloween papercraft project this year I decided to do a series of video game skulls. The first one up is a skull from the Half-Life 1 video game. This skull can be seen at various places in the game as you proceed from one level to another. I tried to size the skull to be 1:1 scale, but as I am no anatomy expert, the size is at best an approximation. The five piece template for the skull may be downloaded here. Look for more paper model skulls in the coming weeks with the series running well past Halloween.
