Skyrim Papercraft: Glass Sword

The last time I posted a Skyrim papercraft was 2015. I am overdue! Pictured is a 1:1 scale paper model of a glass sword from the video game. How can a sword be made of glass you say? The Elder Scrolls Wiki explains:

"Despite their name, 'glass' weapons are not made of actual glass, but of refined Malachite, a strong, glass-like green stone which can be sharpened to a fine edge..."

This model was created by Broken Papercrafts. The template is available in Pepakura PDO format only and may be downloaded here. The download includes two textures, one to make a green bladed sword, and another to make one that is blue bladed (pictured).

Elder Scolls Trebuchet Paper Model

Elder Scrolls Online is a MMORPG released in 2014. The events of the game occur in the same universe (but 1000 years before) the events of the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim video game. This paper model of a trebuchet from the game was created by Rocketman Tan. A trebuchet is a type of siege engine that gained popularity in the Middle Ages. It operates by making use of a counterweight to fling projectiles. A PDF template for the trebuchet model may be downloaded here.

Skyrim Steel Plate Helmet Papercraft

It has been a while since I posted any paper models based on the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. This life-size Steel Plate helmet papercraft was created by DeviantART member Kurado3. According to one Skyrim Wiki: "Steel plate armor is a medium-quality heavy armor that is better than Dwarven but not as good as Orcish." Skyrim Papercraft: Ancient Nord Helmet

Here's another great papercraft Skyrim helmet from Kuraudo3. This helmet is the Ancient Nord Helmet which is a piece of heavy armor similar to the Iron Helmet. Skyrim Papercraft: Septim Coins

The Septim coin is the main currency In the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. According to the Skyrim Wiki:

"The Septim is named after the dynasty that rules the Septim Empire founded by Tiber Septim. It is officially called a Septim due to the bust of Tiber Septim on the obverse side. The legend on the obverse (front) is: The Empire is Law. The Law is Sacred. The reverse reads: Praise be, Akatosh and all the Divines."

Skyrim Papercraft: Dragonscale Helmet

The Dragonscale Helmet is one of the light armor pieces that can be made utilizing the dragon armor perk in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. Dragonscale is the strongest light armor in the game. This full scale paper model of the helmet was created by Kuraudo3. A Pepakura PDO file for it may be requested from Kuraudo3 by contacting him here. For those of you with Mac computers who cannot open PDO files, I have created a PDF file of the template which may be downloaded here.

Skyrim Papercraft: Helm of Yngol

I neglected posting this excellent Skyrim papercraft when it was released by Brandon (z8-0) back in December, but it came to my attention again when I saw this awesome build photo by Kurado3. This full scale paper model helmet is based on a 3D model from the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. In the game the helmet is found on the remains of the Nede warrior Yngol in the barrow where he is buried. Skyrim Papercraft: Frost Dragon

The detail level of this Skyrim frost dragon paper model is pretty impressive. DaiShiHUN, the creator of dragon, lists the build difficulty of the model as "very hard" (which is to be expected). The finished papercraft stands at 18"(46 cm) tall. A Pepakura PDO template for the model may be downloaded here.  DaiShiHUN intended for this model to be the specific dragon, Viinturuth, who is one of several different named dragons that may be encountered in the video game.

Skyrim Papercraft: Stormcloak Helmet

Here is yet another papercraft helmet from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. This time it is one of the several helmets that may accompany Stormcloak armor. In the storyline of the game, Stormcloaks are a faction that opposes the Imperial Legion. The template for this full scale paper model was created by Rundown and may be downloaded here. Skyrim Papercraft: Daedric Armor Helmet

Finally, another Skyrim papercraft! This full size paper model is of a Daedric armor helmet. In the video game, Daedric armor has the highest base armor rating. The Pepakura PDO template for this papercraft was put together as a freebie by the guys at Propzone and may be downloaded here.

Skyrim Papercraft: Runed Lexicon Cube

After doing a papercraft Dwemer puzzle cube, I couldn't resist making another cube from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game. This time it's a runed lexicon cube. This papercraft is the appearance the lexicon takes after being inscribed with an elder scroll's knowledge in the "Discerning the Transmundane" quest. Skyrim Papercraft: Konahrik Dragon Priest Mask

After releasing papercraft templates for the first nine Skyrim dragon priest masks, Brandon has finally released a template for the tenth and final mask. This is the Konahrik mask. Konahrik literally means "warlord". The Pepakura PDO and PDF templates for the mask may be downloaded here.  The build photo above is by Cotton-Eyed Joe.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Papercraft - Dwemer Puzzle Cube

Well I guess I am jumping on the Skyrim papercraft bandwagon. ^^ Given my fondness for decorated cubes, it is only fitting that my first Skyrim model is a Dwemer puzzle cube. In the Elder Scrolls video game series, the Dwemer are a lost race that lived underground. The Dwemer are referred to as "Dwarves" in some parts of the game. Skyrim Papercraft: Dragon Priest Masks

In the Skyrim video game there are ten different dragon priest masks to be obtained. Each of the masks grants the wearer different abilities. Z8-0 (Brandon) at DeviantART has created papercraft templates for each of the ten masks. Pictured above is the Morokei mask. The templates for nine of the ten masks are contained in a single Pepakura PDO file with interchangeable textures. The tenth mask template (the Konahrik mask) will be released by Brandon after a contest of sorts. The template is available here.

Skyrim Papercraft: Iron Helmet

My papercrafter cohort Brandon appears to have been busy this Thanksgiving holiday cranking out papercraft models from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This iron helmet paper model is his fourth Skyrim papercraft to be released in the past two days. This particular helmet is the one the playable character is shown wearing in nearly all the publicity for the video game. The Pepakura PDO template for the helmet is available here.

Skyrim Paper Model: Azura's Star

Azura's star is an artifact that appears in several of the video games in the Elder Scrolls series. Pictured above is a papercraft model of how the star appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. According to the Elder Scrolls Wiki:

"Similar to Soul Gems, Azura's Star has the ability to trap the souls of non-humanoid creatures, known as "white souls". These souls can be used for enchanting and for recharging weapons."

By changing the texture of the Pepakura PDO file, two different versions of the star may be created. The templates (both PDO and PDF) by papercrafter Brandon may be downloaded here.
