I got the urge to create another papercraft from the Tron:Legacy movie. ^^ This is the identity disc of Rinzler. Rinzler is bad guy Clu's top enforcer and apparently the only program capable of wielding two identity discs in battle (see animation below). Like my earlier Sam's Identity Disc papercraft, this is a tough one to build. Lined and unlined templates are available here. A build of the unlined template constructed without folds is shown in the photo above.
Next one is Rinzler's helmet!!
ReplyDelete:P
Haha not really... I like your Tron papercrafts
alma does have a point.... could the next tron model be a helmet? that would be great!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... a Rinzler helmet? You never know. It might happen. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I am so happy you made another disk. I hope you will make Flyn's and C.L.U.'s. I just love your paper crafts and I see your stuff on Deviant Art now too. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThat's great Ryan! I love to hear about parents sharing papercraft with their kids.
ReplyDeletecan you make a tron one with a white 'c' ring on the inside
ReplyDeleteI was toying with the idea of doing a white Flynn's disc which would be basically the same as Tron's disc before he was "corrupted".
ReplyDeleteCan you make a CLU disc please? Nobody's interest by CLU ... --'
ReplyDeleteYou are in luck! I will be releasing CLU's disc in the near future. :)
ReplyDeleteYEAH thanks a lot !!!!! and instead of rinzler's helmet why not a simple CLU helmet xD if you need picture for your next tron legacy's projects i can get them for you i've no problem about that ^^
ReplyDeletehaha this gives me the urge to make the paper craft disc and throw it against someone
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this pretty models! My children love them: every thing which is related to the movie, and anything which is related to paper craft. They soon will have their room upholstered with all kind of paper crafts (my God...:-@). But it´s ok, its a very good way to stimulate their creation ability. Thank you again and greetings from Mexico!!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! I always enjoy hearing about children building my papercraft. :)
ReplyDeleteyou might consider making a scale 1:1 light cycle baton.
ReplyDeleteActually, I have looked into making a light cycle baton. It may happen some day. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! i made Sam's identity disk with lines for my little brother and i really likes it! now he says that he wants a rinzler disk, but he wants to make it himself! P.S the disk flys bad but i know a technique that makes it fly really good, and it spins!
ReplyDeletelol! I am happy you guys are having fun with the discs. :) Thanks for letting me know about it.
DeleteOMG! THE LEGENDARY TEKTONTEN, CREATOR OF THIS WEBSITE AND MASTER OF PAPER CRAFT REPLAYED MY MESSAGE!:D
DeleteLOL! :)
Deletelol:) by the way, my friend suggests you to make a light jet and the light airplane near the end of the movie. Tough one, good luck!
Deletehi there, I'm trying to open the Rinzler and Clu discs into Photoshop but they are both password protected and won't let me.
ReplyDeleteWhy am I doing this you ask? I'm sending them to a printer to do a one off print at a decent quality on nice paper as my home printer is so terrible and they only take jpegs.
As it's the summer holidays my kids are home and desperately want me to make them a disc each (one wants two for Rinzler but I don't think that will happen). Any chance of posting the pass so I can unlock these or updating the download files please? Incidentally Sam's disc isn't password protected.
My templates are password protected for copyright reasons and I don't provide them unlocked. Thanks for letting me know about Sam's disc. It has been corrected. Email me at the address on my profile and I will see if I can work with you to get you something that you can print.
