Hobbit Papercraft: Lake-town Buildings
In the book The Hobbit there is a human town named Esgaroth (also called Lake-town) which the dragon Smaug destroys after he is awakened by Bilbo Baggins. Over the past year Grendels Mother 64 has been creating paper models of Lake-town buildings. The buildings are sized for 25-30mm miniature gaming and include (among other things) houses, boats, a mead hall, a great house, and a dockside warehouse. Templates for the papercraft buildings may be downloaded here.

Deep Space Nine Papercraft: PADD
Back in September I revamped the Star Trek: Voyager medical tricorder paper model I released in 2009. Next up on the revamp list is my 2009 PADD papercraft. The original PADD was based on a 3D model from the Star Trek Voyager Elite Force video game. However, after doing some research, I found that the PADD was configured more like a Deep Space Nine PADD than a Voyager PADD. So accordingly I changed the textures to show a DS9 readout. The new template is available here (both A4 and Letter size included). Like the original PADD, the scale of the model is 1:2.

Papercraft Payday the Heist Masks
Just before Halloween, as a favor for someone, I created eight papercraft masks based on masks seen in the Payday: The Heist video game. Now I am offering the masks to everyone! The official literature for The Heist describes it as "an action filled first person shooter that lets players take on the role of a hardened career criminal executing intense, dynamic heists in constant pursuit of the next 'big score'". The download for the masks includes A4 and letter size Pepakura PDO files along with eight interchangeable mask textures. The template for the masks is the same template I used for my Kaonashi mask, Spider-Man mask, and Death Eater masks.

Adventure Time Papercraft: Golden Sword of Battle
The Golden Sword of Battle is Finn's primary weapon in the Adventure Time animated series. This paper model of the Golden Sword is 1:1 scale and measures 28" (71 cm) long. When designing the sword I experimented with construction techniques in the hope of making it stronger than previous papercraft swords I have done. I believe I succeeded, although after an extended period of whipping around my build of the model it started to show some weakness where the blade meets the handle. ;) The template for the sword is available in both Letter and A4 size and may be downloaded here.

Printable Dark Knight Rises Masks
These Dark Knight Rises masks by Patrick Sullivan were recently featured on Vulture.com. The thing I like about these masks is their simplicity. Each one is a single piece that is folded and taped to form the mask. But alas, there is a catch. The masks require 11" x 17" size paper which is too large for many home printers to handle. To make printing easier for myself I split each template into two letter size (8.5" x 11") parts that can be taped together. Links to copies of the split templates are listed below.
