Wind Waker Tingle Tower Papercraft

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker video game, the hero Link journeys to several islands, one of which is a place called Tingle Island. On Tingle Island there is an elaborate tower with carved statues. The tower is named (as you might deduce) Tingle Tower. This paper model of Tingle Tower was created by Emily Stell at Paper Duplicator. The printable template for the model may be downloaded here. Video instructions are also available on the download page. In the game, Mr. Tingle (owner of the Tower) helps Link by translating nautical charts that show the locations of Triforce shards which are required to win the game.

Printable Zelda Masks

These easy, printable, 2D Legend of Zelda masks are just the thing if you need a last minute mask for Halloween. There are five masks in all, each based on a different character from the Majora's Mask video game. The masks pictured are Zora, Fierce Deity Link, a Deku, and Majora's mask itself. Also available, but not pictured, is a Goron mask. PDFs of the masks may be download in a single ZIP file at the Nintendo website. Note: these are child-size and will need to be printed larger if adult use is intended.

Wind Waker Medli Papercraft

In the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker video game, the game's protagonist, Link, journeys to Dragon Roost Island where he meets a girl named Medli. Wherever she goes, Medli carries her treasured harp. This papercraft likeness of Medli does a good job at capturing the cartoonish style of the game. The model was designed by Tenpepakura and may be downloaded here. Zelda Papercraft: Wolf Link and Midna

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess video game, the protagonist Link takes on the form of a wolf and is imprisoned in Hyrule Castle. While in the castle he meets an imp-like creature named Midna who helps him escape. This really well done paper model depicts Midna riding on Wolf Link's back. PDF and Pepakura PDO files for the model may be downloaded here. Twilight Princess is the thirteenth in the ongoing series of Legend of Zelda games.

Chibi Breath of the Wild Link Papercraft

Out of the papercraft that has been released for the new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild video game, this Link model has to be my favorite.  Given the style of this papercraft, it might look like a model from the 2002 Wind Waker game, but it is actually a chibi version of how an adult Link appears in the newest game. A download of the template may be found here. Breath of the Wild was released in 2017.

Life Size Papercraft Majora's Mask

Here is another excellent Zelda papercraft from Otaku Crafts: a life size Majora's Mask. Love those vibrant colors! I also like that the mask is large enough that it can be worn as part of a Halloween costume (although it might take more than a single strand of elastic string to keep it on your face ^^). Papercraft Zelda Lightbox Diorama

Papercraft lightboxes are similar to Japanese tatebanko dioramas. Tatebanko dioramas create depth by spacing layers of paper cutouts inside a paper box. Lightboxes make of use the same layering technique, but add a light source behind the diorama to further increase the sense of depth in the scene. Otaku Crafts has created a series of papercraft lightboxes based on Studio Ghibli movies and video games. Pictured is a diorama containing the Master Sword from the Zelda video games. In 2010, I released a tatebanko-like paper theater that could, at least in theory, be modified to become a light box diorama. An image of the finished theater and a download of the template may be found here.

Zelda Papercraft: Zora Armor Helmet

In the video game Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess the hero Link makes use of a special suit of armor that allows him to breathe under water. The armor is called "Zora Armor" due to the fact that it looks like the aquatic creatures called Zoras. This full size papercraft Zora Armor helmet was created by Studio of MM. Zelda Origami: King of Red Lions Ship

Origami doesn't get much easier than this. Take two squares of paper, add a couple of folds and you have a great looking King of Red Lions ship. The King of Red Lions is a talking sailboat from the Nintendo video game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. This origami was created by illustrator Alex Griendling. 8-Bit Video Game Character Pop-Ups

The Cubeecraft website now has a side project of pop-ups called "Pixel Pages". As you might expect from the title, these pop-ups primarily feature classic 8-bit video game characters, however other pop culture characters in pixelated form are available too. Pictured above are Link from Legend of Zelda, Disney's Scrooge McDuck, Gizmo from Gremlins, and Mega Man. Templates for all 32+ characters may be downloaded here.
