Loch Ness Monster Papercraft
When I first came across this papercraft I thought it might be a dinosaur, but after I translated the Japanese I found instead it was a papercraft of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster! Now we just need some paper models of Bigfoot and a chupacabra to make the set complete. ^^ The template for Nessie is offered by the Mochizuki Printing Company.

Harry Potter Papercraft: Death Eater Mask #2
The second mask is finished in the papercraft series I am doing on Death Eater masks. This one is a little less ominous than the first one. As with the first mask, this papercraft is based on artwork which can be found at the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie website. I won't bore you with size information this time as it is the same as the last mask. Download the template here.

Bowler Wildcat 200 Papercraft
It has been a while since I posted a car papercraft. This hot looking off road racing vehicle is a Bowler Wildcat 200 which was originally produced in the UK by Bowler Off-Road LTD. Bowler Off-Road offers this papercraft on their website. In addition to eight different color schemes for the Wildcat papercraft, they also offer a papercraft model of a Bowler Spirit Race Truck. Get the templates here.

Plant Monster Paper Toys
These odd little plant monster paper toys are free downloads created by Jellyface to encourage the planting of trees on “World Environment Day” which this year was on June 5, 2009. From left to right the names of these creatures are "Chlo", "Ro" and "Phyll". Get it? Chlorophyll is the green pigment in most plants. Jellyface is a project between Joe, a graphic designer, and Fau, a creative dressmaker who are based in Italy. Their primary work is plush toys that look very similar to these paper toys. Go here to download templates for these three. There is also a "coral monster" named, of course, "Coral" and a blank template you can customize and submit for a contest, but hurry the contest deadline is September 30th.

Harry Potter Papercraft: Death Eater Mask #1
The official movie website for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix contains a "Death Eater Art" section where you can download an "art kit" with example images of Death Eater masks meant to inspire you to create your own art. It just so happens that several of the images in the art kit work nicely when applied to my Kanonashi Mask template. So here is the first of what I hope will be several different papercraft Death Eater Masks. Death Eaters are the devoted followers of the dark wizard Voldemort, the prime enemy of Harry Potter throughout all the books in the Harry Potter series.

Isaac Clarke Dead Space Paper Toy
From the Gavin Schmidt (the same designer who gave us the Harry Potter paper toy) comes another creation using the "Briki" paper toy template. This time the subject is Isaac Clarke, the main character from the Dead Space video game. I kind of like the hand drawn look of the art.
UPDATE 1/7/21: Sorry. This paper toy is no longer available.

Gremlins Papercraft: 3D Glasses Gizmo
I thought Mexican graphic designer Sercho05 did an excellent job with the graphics on this Gremlins paper toy. Another nice feature of the toy is that the 3D glasses are removable. Now it's been a long time since I saw the movie, but one thing I do know is that you should make darn sure it's not after midnight before you go dropping Gizmo down in a pile of popcorn like that. ^^ The template for this paper toy is available here.

Doctor Who Papercraft: Cybershade Mask
This papercraft Cybershade mask was a free download offered by the BBC to promote the Doctor Who television show during the 2008 Christmas season. Cybershades are variants of Doctor Who's long time enemies the Cybermen. The three page PDF template is available here. The only downside to building this mask is the lack of gluing flaps, but they can be easily improvised by most papercrafters with any experience.

Tron Papercraft WIP: Lightcyclist Bust
I don't usually do "work in progress" posts, but I will probably start doing more in the future. I have been working on several elaborate projects that will take longer to release and I wanted to give a taste of some of them in advance. This Lightcyclist Bust is about 30% of the way through the test build. Once again the original model is from the Tron 2.0 video game. I decided to build a life size bust because the level of detail in the face made it difficult to do a smaller scale complete figure. As the project stands now, it looks like the template will have about 29 pages. Wish me luck!

MechWarrior 3 Papercraft: Shadow Cat
The Shadow Cat is one of the more popular medium class mechs available in the MechWarrior 3 video game. Weighing in at 45 tons, it is fast, has jump jets, and is capable of carrying a wide range of weapons. This papercraft version of the Shadow Cat is the creation of "MadCatManiac" and "Cantaris" at the Mech3.org forum. Pictured above is the desert camouflage color scheme which is my favorite out of the eight color schemes available. A download of the eight templates may be found here. The templates are available in Pepakura PDO format only.

Update 2/14/2010:
I received an e-mail from MadCatManiac who filled me on the details of the creation of this model. The following Mech3 forum members were involved in the project: Eaterofpies (ripped the 3D model from the video game), MadCatManiac (created the template from the 3D model) and Cantaris (applied textures to the model).

Star Trek Papercraft: Mobile Emitter
Here's a simple Star Trek Elite Force papercraft while I finish up more complex projects. This is the mobile emitter worn by the Emergency Medical Hologram doctor on the starship Voyager. The mobile emitter is a self-contained holographic projector, generating the photons and force fields necessary to allow the holographic doctor to move outside the confines of the medical bay holographic emitters (even so far as to leave the ship entirely!).

Ghost Rider Hako Papercraft
You don't see a whole lot of papercraft of Marvel Comics' Ghost Rider around. That's probably because it's tough to do all the flames. ^^ Joe Apodaca, however, has managed to do a pretty good job with this hako version of the Spirit of Vengeance. He gets a gold star for including a chain, too. ^^ The motorcycle and the figure are two separate models. Templates are available here.

Detailed Space Shuttle Papercraft
You would be hard pressed to find a more detailed papercraft space shuttle than this one. In addition to a "generic" space shuttle model, Italian designer Raimondo Fortezza has also created templates for each of the specific shuttles including Endeavour, Atlantis, Discovery, Challenger, and Columbia. The Atlantis model shown in the build photo above is the work of David Hanners who enlarged the original template slightly from 1:100 scale to 1:96 scale. Fortezza's shuttle templates are available for download at the Marscenter website here. Also available at the website are templates for detailed models of the International Space Station, Soyuz and other space exploration related models.

Harry Potter Paper Toy
This Harry Potter paper toy doesn't look very happy. Then again, if I was an orphan and a dark wizard tried to kill me every year, I suppose I might not be very happy either. This papercraft Harry was created by Gavin Schmidtt at robotmartini.com using the blank "Briki" template. Briki paper figures were developed to be used in an open source multi-player tabletop combat game known as "Arena".
UPDATE 1/7/21: Sorry. This paper toy is no longer available. :(
