Green Lantern Papercraft: Power Battery

The DC Comics character Green Lantern makes use of a power battery to charge his ring of power. This paper model by Dungbeetle and Spartan_058 is of Green Lantern's power battery as it appears in the Green Lantern movie. The Pepakura PDO file of the battery is without color, but I was able to create a green version by changing the default color setting for the untextured faces of the model. Papercraft Green Lantern Rings of Power

In the DC Comics universe, the members of the Green Lantern Corp each wear a green power ring. Including the Green Lantern Corp, there are a total of nine different Lantern Corps. Each corp is represented by a different color. The colors of the corps cover the seven colors of the rainbow, plus black and white.

Designer "Tkamen" has created papercraft templates for the rings of power for each of the lantern corps, five of which are shown above. The PDO format templates may be downloaded here. The finished rings are rather large with a 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) diameter. I wanted a smaller scale Green Lantern ring, so I took the liberty of creating a scaled down version of the template in PDF format which is available here. Unfortunately, there are no instructions available for building the rings other than the PDO.

Papercraft Green Lantern Mask

Green Lantern, a DC Comics' superhero, will finally make it to the big screen this June. There have been several versions of Green Lantern in comic books since the 1940's, but the upcoming movie will feature Hal Jordan, the Silver Age version of the character. One thing common to all Green Lanterns over the years is a green mask. Pictured above is a papercraft version of Green Lantern's mask by Dancin_Fool at 405th.com. The template for the mask is available in Pepakura PDO format only and comes uncolored (white), so if you want the green color shown, either you will need to modify the unlocked PDO or paint the mask after it is built.
