MLP Princess Celestia Papercraft

Princess Celestia, along with her sister, Princess Luna, are co-rulers of Equestria, the land that is the setting for the animated television series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Celestia and her sister are "alicorns" which is the term used on the show for horses that have the characteristics of both a pegasus and a unicorn. Trojan Horse Paper Toy

In 2010 this cute Trojan horse paper toy was released as a promotional item to advertise the Nintendo DS video game, Glory of Heracles.  The cool thing about the toy is it has an actual secret compartment built into the side. Brian Castleforte, founder of Nice Paper Toys, is the designer of the piece. A PDF template for the horse is still available for download here.

My Little Pony Origami

DeviantART member Cyberglass has created a collection of eight origami representations of My Little Pony characters. Pictured are Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Also included in the collection are Nightmare Moon, Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack. Photos of all the ponies plus folding instructions may be found here.

Origami Horse

David Brill has this to say about his work as an origami artist:

"The origami artist must resolve seemingly impossible technical challenges because of the restrictions of the square of paper and the unwritten rules of origami (not to cut, not to glue, not to decorate). These limitations have stimulated remarkable solutions: in other words restriction yields richness."

MLP Nightmare Moon Papercraft

In the world of My Little Pony, Princess Luna is a winged unicorn who was responsible for raising and lowering the moon each night. Because of her jealousy, Luna was transformed into the villain Nightmare Moon. This Nightmare Moon paper model was created by Muffinshire and may be downloaded here. MLP Pinkie Pie Papercraft

Last month I posted an enormous Princess Luna paper model by Znegil. This month Znegil released a companion My Little Pony papercraft... Pinkie Pie! Pinkie has been described elsewhere as "a very exuberant, enthusiastic, happy, silly, talkative, jolly, and giggly pony." Znegil says the project took him 50 days to complete. My Little Pony Princess Luna Papercraft

At 50" (127 cm) tall, this is a king size Princess Luna paper model!  Princess Luna is a character in the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic animated series. As you can see, Luna is a horse that has characteristics of both an unicorn and a pegasus. The 70 page template is available here from the model's creator, Znegil. Znegil says building the model is not overly difficult, but that it did take him nearly 240 hours to complete!

Quadricorn Paper Model

Straight from the hilarious Ameristar Casino television commercials, it's a papercraft Quadricorn! Ameristar commissioned well known papercraft designer Taras Lesko to create this Quadricorn paper model as a promotional item for the 2011 holiday season. Poseable My Little Pony Paper Toys

Here is yet another case of 2D papercraft being just as fun as 3D papercraft. DeviantARTist Trunksi has created six different My Little Pony paper toys. Each toy is double-sided and poseable (including the eyes!) Pictured are Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. Also available are Applejack and Twilight Sparkle.

Budweiser Clydesdales Beer Wagon Papercraft

The Budweiser Clydesdales were introduced by the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company in 1933 and the horses have appeared frequently in the company's advertising since that time. Clydesdales originated as farm horses in the Clydesdale region of Scotland.This miniature paper model of the Budweiser Clydesdale beer wagon was created by Dave Winfield and may be downloaded here. Horse Illusion Papercraft

Here is a horse to add to your collection of illusion papercraft animals. ^^ This illusion was created by the OSA-IFISC Student Chapter for a 2009 Science Fair on Menorca Island, Spain. OSA-IFISC Student chapter members are Ph.D. students with a common interest in optics. If you are not familiar with this type of paper model, it creates an optical illusion as you move about the room that the head and eyes of the animal are following you.
