Happy new year! We are a week past Christmas, but I figured it wasn't too late to post this paper model of the house from the 1990 movie,
Home Alone. This papercraft was created in 2020 by Tekzo at Paperhobby to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film. The model is 1:100 scale and includes several cars seen in the movie, as well as 2D character cutouts of Kevin, Marv and Harry. The PDF template for the model may be downloaded
here. Only minimal photo instructions are provided.

Good model, however its missing all instructions, thus making it a bit of a head scratcher - because one must have to figure out the placings for the parts, which aren't marked in any way.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair to the designer, there are at least some photo instructions on his webpage. Free papercraft is a mixed bag. Some designers release models with no instructions at all, while others release instructions on par with store bought kits. Those who build free paper models are a mixed bag as well. To one builder, a model like this is frustration. To another, it is a fun puzzle to be solved.
DeleteThere is no sheet with parts A3 and A4 in the craft, but they are in the assembled craft. This is a canopy over the porch and the pillars that hold it. Maybe they will post the missing sheet with these details.
